This post is an information update, and rather meaningless for direct application. I’ve noticed the life design world updates rather frequently, with all over the place topics, and I do not. I enjoy catching up on all the various subject matter but here at the project I’ll be sticking to a less varied methodology. I hope in doing this I can stay focused and continue to bring you posts I’ve tested with my life and taken time to write about thoroughly. I’ve heard a few times lifestyles design isn’t about keeping up with joneses….well its hit me that it never is…no matter where you are at…so make sure to stick to your guns and do what you do well. Remember… “Everything that’s popular is wrong” … quote Tim Ferriss.
Posting Schedule
I’ve decided to go on a posting schedule, not because I aim to monetize mass readers and put out 4 posts a day, but to keep my readers aware and myself honest. I’ll be posting each Monday, and I’ll make my best efforts to make it worth your while as you design your ideal lifestyle…I’ve come so far…I won’t be bailing out anytime soon.
Not Selling Out
I’ve finally broached the stage of creating income and as I go into development on how, I’d like to clarify what I won’t be doing for money on the internet. It’s a slimy world out there and I don’t want to fall down the slippery slope…the money just isn’t reliable or sustainable. I will not be doing any affiliate work where the affiliate link is the main source of income. So I will not be setting up streams of income from product reviews, or trying free samples, or filling out e-mails or surveys and so on. I may very well suggest and shout affiliate materials as I’m a fan of quality products just like you are, but they will never be the end goal or main push for trying to set up an income stream. Creating something of value that you are required only to maintain is.
Not Selling you
Commitment to readers. I’m going to be moving into a phase of creating products and resources and my main goals, as mentioned above, will be to provide value and to make money. I’m committing here to my readers I will never try to prompt or pitch you an IT product on this blog. I’ll certainly be talking about my creations as I continue to test muse making, but I won’t be using any of you as test dummies for metrics, or product pitches. I commit to being honest about my efforts here and if you can use or want to evaluate anything that I’m working on, by all means, let me know.
Like I said, not too applicable for designing your life, but part of the systems approach is being real with exactly where you are. Spend a minute today and view yourself and your goals from outside your perspective, alter course if needed…and jump back in the drivers seat. This week will be different.
