I’ve discovered notes I wrote to myself one night in 2012 pondering growing a business, and how it’s akin to farming.
Apparently I unlocked the keys to online business by relating it to real farming. Who knew!
While somewhat comical, it’s actually very relevant, and there are some gems in there!
- still need real farmers, or be hungry [we need entrepreneurs more than ever]
- grow large crops, harvest them later, repeatable, and gets easier from past effort [like building a community around how you can help them]
- maintain crops to keep producing, or lose your gains [like old digital products]
- after large initial investment, repeating with variation in planting is easier [v2 of your “bootcamp” product, etc]
- “i knew i always wanted to be a farmer!”
